Bio/Statement
Yixiang LI is currently a PhD candidate in Cultural Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His principal research areas include the history of writing technologies, media theory, and comparative poetics, focusing on the intersection between media materiality and semiotic representations in literary and cinematic work texts. His PhD dissertation, tentatively entitled “The Spectre of Character: Chinese Technography and its Ideographic Poetics in the Age of Global Alphabetism,” studies the history of Chinese information processing technologies and its impacts on contemporary Chinese poetic and artistic expression, aiming to bring out a novel conception of text in the Sinophone context from a media-materiality perspective. Next to his academic work, he is a poet and cultural worker. He has published poetry since 2021 and received poetry prices from the Mainland, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

李盲，一九九四年生于广东新会，现为香港中文大学文化研究博士候选人。他的研究涉及技术史、媒介理论和比较诗学，关注文学和流行文化中美学表达及其与媒介物质性之间的互动。他的实验性写作「鬼画符」系列专注于探讨在地书写中抒情、虚构和历史档案的跨文体互嵌，诗作曾获磨石书店诗歌奖（2025）、顶度诗歌奖（2024）、金车新诗奖（2024）、青年文学奖（2024、2023）、光华诗歌奖（2022），著有诗册《远东汁男之悲剧》（2026）。
